Why can't people download songs from my myspace artist page?

i have checked the 'allow users to download' box inside the 'edit profile/manage featured songs' section and it still doesn't work. i own the rights to the material so there is no copyright issue. i am in australia in case that makes a difference, but i don't see why it should. please help!
