How to change HDD's on laptop?

Why i cannot connect to the internet if i change my laptop, but the lan is ok.?

  • i have two laptop. the first is ok(it can browse the internet and the network files). but if i change to my other laptop(still with the same cable) the second laptop cannot connect internet, but can browse file on another computer, so the lan is ok. the tcp/ip setting just the same with the first laptop. i think the admin do something with the setting. can anyone help me? because the first laptop is so slow.i need to change my laptop.

    all i can suggest is you redo the network on the faster laptop and check the setting as you go ........this pc connects to the internet through a hub and network the wording may be slightly wrong .but the setting is there..xp
