What are over-content ads?

Is there a way to remove all ads on Internet Explorer?

• It's just really annoying! Everywhere I go retarded ads pop up and for some reason my computer goes a little slower when the ads come up like when the ad is loading up. And some ads have no X's on them so how to hell do I exit out of them. Also some ads (actually most ads) have super small X's so it's hard to find them, but even if I do find the X, it's so small I always accidentally click the ad when I'm trying to exit out of it. It pisses me off! Why does there half to be so many ads? It's so annoying, it wood be okay if there was a little or just the medium amount but there is way way to many. I don't want to be anything, and when the advertisements piss me off now I really really don't want to buy anything. I never buy anything because I see it on an ad because I know 90% ads are lying so yeah, how do I remove them.
