How to I put something on eBay?

How much would I have to pay to put something on Ebay for £60?

  • Okay, so I sold an item for £60 about two months ago. I put it on there for £1. Now I'm getting emails about automatic fee payments and I'm really confused. I understand that you need to pay a final fee or whatever but how much do I have to pay? It is taking £1.60 out of my account each month... when will it stop? Should I close my accouunt?

  • Answer:

You should pay a final value fee only once, but perhaps you did not have enough in your account to pay your final value fees and they are taking it out every month. Plus your Paypal fee for the transaction. Why dont you contact Paypal and find out why you are getting charged every month for the same amount. The insertion fee is 0 right now. The final value fee is around 9%. The Paypal fee is around 3%.

very little to put it on eBay, about 6 GBP for the selling fee then your item winds up somewhere after the sale, 44 days later, the buyer claims it was messed up (even though it was not when they got it), paypal seizes your money, you go to dispute resolution, 30 days later paypal tells the buyer to return it within 15 days, the buyer returns it, and sure enough it is screwed up since the buyer has taken it apart, removed the parts he needed to fix his own, put his defective parts into it, and you are out your sales income, and now you have a piece of junk

there is a listing fee (sometimes not) and a final value fee usually under 10%. your having another problem if they are taking something every month.
