Why can't I delete my history?

Cant delete history in internet explorer 9.?

  • I just updated to internet explorer 9 and am having trouble clearing my history. I have always had my history, cookies, etc., set to delete upon exiting IE, set my days saved to 0, all that stuff. I know how to clear it, its just not working on IE9. My actual history folder within my favorites bar is clearing but when I click the drop down arrow on the address bar there are a few websites that will not go away. In fact, they are sites that I have not been to in a long time. How do I get these websites to stop showing up in my address bar? This problem did not start until I updated to 9.
