Why is this site so slow in IE6 and crashes?

Joomla 1.5 - My site works in all browsers except for IE?

• here is the code i created; --[if lte IE 6]><link rel="stylesheet" href="<?php echo $this->baseurl ?>/templates/<?php echo $this->template?>/css/ie6.css" type="text/css" media="screen" /> <style type="text/css"> div.moduletable {height:100%;} when i test my web site with IE 6- it scaters, it creates a wide space between the head and the article however other browsers work well. I tried creating an IE6.CSS file in the css folder and I edited the TEMPLATE.CSS by adding IE6 But the problem still exists.

  Some code doesn't work on certain browsers. I'm not very good with coding, but I know www.w3schools.com/ (it's a site for learning carious kinds of coding) has the information. You may have to search for it. Also, googling this: 'what coding doesn't work in ie' turns up various questions similar to this that look like they've been answered. Good luck.
