How much do I charge for shipping on ebay if I'm using UPS ground?
-
I want to sell my old clothing on ebay and the whole shipping thing is confusing me a bit. So I choose UPS ground because I was told its fast and cheap for the customer. In the box next to the type of shipping it says the price it will cost. I don't know how much it costs? I know that costs varies to where you are sending it but then how do people have a price for how much the shipping will cost.

Answer:
Go on the UPS website and put in weight and measurements and the furtherist distance you will send to and this will give you a price and put that this will be the maximum you will pay in your description and alter the postage once the item has sold if it is for a cheaper destination.

you have to go to ups and enter some info, all packages will be different. I would suggest usps because they dont charge a rural surcharge and you can get a basic flat rate box for $5 or a big box for $10. you can even order some from them and get them delivered to your house for FREE! that way you dont have to package it at the post office.
I'd consider USPS instead, cause they have flat-rate options on their Priority Mailing and they have 3 different sizes. So, depending on your old clothing volume, whichever smallest box out of these three you could fit in - that's what you charge! Source: www.prioritymail.com/flatrates.asp Make sure your correct Paypal account is linked on your ebay account. Sounds like it isn't. Only other thing I can think of is to make sure payment is NOT on-hold (on PayPal), because some buyers would pay via e-check does take additional business days to clear! By the way, have you considered having your own storefront? You might want to look into it cause it's a perfect parallel branding methodology to have your own online-store... Sell anything & everything, make your OWN online store with EASE! Plus, make it look like real professionally done - without "hiring" any professionals...Ha haa :) They also enable FREE SSL certificate!!! Do NOT settle for less, for sophisticated Mac-style storefront; visit: http://app.highwire.com/?ref=free (this one is my favorite because not only offers totally FREE Facebook-Store selling service but your online new-store is 100% mobile compatible) OR http://www.shopify.com/?ref=freejk (this one is good because they have plugins/apps which enable you to integrate other channels such as ebay / amazon / inventory system / etc) ....Happy Selling!
