How do I make a really good craigslist ad?

How do I make craigslist for sale ad last longer in duration?

  • I listed 2 ads in different areas for my dads boat.....and after posting 1 of them it said this ad will be deleted/expired after 45days which I thought is a good amount of time for it to be seen.....but then the 2nd ad said deleted/expired after only 7days of me listing it which I thought is too short for it to be seen....I didn't select or see anything to list or renew how long you want it to stay up for...can I list that one for 45 days like the other...if so why not?

    Believe me, how long the ad last does not matter if your ad is not seen or looked at. You want to create an account, create your ads, and one week later, delete the ad and list them again. Craiglisters don't look at really old ads. If you post an ad RIGHT NOW, it'll show up at the top. A week-old ad is going to be way at the bottom. Imagine something that's 3 weeks old?!?
