Do I need a phone line for internet?

Do you need a phone line or a cable connection to have internet access?

  • I don't have cable tv. I want to get rid of my land line phone too. But will I still be able to have DSL or cable internet? My phone company says I need to buy their lowest plan to keep my internet.

    Verizon wireless offers Internet threw a usb modem, or wifi, and its only like at the most 30 dollars, you don't need a cell phone with them either, you can just make a plan for internet. That's what I have and it gets service anywhere pretty much.

You could easily get a wireless adapter so you don't necessarily need the cable or phone to have internet access but most companies just do that as a package deal cus apparently its cheaper...Check with Verizon about internet only deals
