Cost will always be based on what is required in a website. Some sites are basic so the cost would be minimum bit if you look at a site for a business that also includes ecommerce features it would take a lot of time to create so a much larger cost. Also, how many graphics are being used and who is creating the graphics - unless you can find free ones without copyright they have to be paid for as well. We do our own sites as we been at this for a while. If you want to start off a site with minimum cost,create a self-hosted Wordpress yourself.There is a lot of free information available on setting up a Wordpress blog on the Google & Yahoo search engines.
