Is there a way to restore history once it has been deleted?

  • Well, let me explain. My boyfriend and I use mozilla firefox as our browser. We are pretty open with each other about everything, but every once in a great while out of curiosity I peek at the history just to see what he is up to. we have opposite sleep schedules so I have no clue what he does for hours on the net, and he does need "inspiring images" if you will, when he gets "excited" harhar. But he knows i wont judge. Im not like that. but if you click >import and back up >restore and then it lists all these dates of history to restore (recent ones), and i see time gaps, a couple hours mostly at a time, of missing history, when I know he is browsing. Explain to me A. What do these dates mean? that he deleted browsing history? B. is there a way to restore it. I click restore and then it gives me some jargon about restoring bookmarks, i click okay but nothing happens, no returned history. Did he or did he not delete history... and is it true some files cannot be brought back bc the computer overwrites them if you use the internet quite a bit after deletion of history? i did a system restore and got no where. I know it sounds paranoid, but he wouldnt delete something unless it was bad, and we are very open minded people. not like illegal people, hell no, but we enjoy odd stuff. so for him to delete, yah can you blame me for wanting to know?? please and thanks!

    use System restore point to undo changes if problems occur.

If he was smart, he'd use In-Private internet browsing that Microsoft Internet Explorer provides as it doesn't store any history or Cookies. If you are so concerned over this then you have some trust issues in your relationship. Don't go snooping in his business- how would you feel if you found him snooping your dresser, internet history, phone text messages? Just sayin'.
