• Im stays in Mumbai & subsribed to Reliance Broadband Netconnect Services a month ago (Modem model no EC1260 Huawei). I pays INR 715/- for 1GB/ 230 days validity & the Networks offered are Broadband +, High Speed1X & Hybrid. I allways uses Hybrid (Broadband + High Speed). To my shock, The net connection consumes the data balance very very fastly.... dont know.....even though i didnt download anything, the balance on card exhausts speedly. Anyone has experience of Reliance broadband net connection ? Pls someone tell me how can I minimise my data usage/ balance consumption... .changing of network will make any change.... Pls give me some tips to minimises the usage or to minimise my card balance. Thanx in advance, Ashley

  First of all, you have to understand how download is calculated. It's not only what you download by clicking on "download" button offered by websites. Your download is calculated for every bit of data that is passing to your system through your modem or router. When you surf internet, images, text, flash object and many things are first downloaded to temp file of your browser and then displayed to you in your browser window. these images and flash object are also added to your download limits. Also data that you upload is also calculated in your download history(by most of the Internet service providers). To minimize your download you can do following things: 1) Disable images 2) disable plug-in like adobe flash player (it won't allow flash objects to be downloaded )
