How do most people pay online?

How do I make it possible to let people pay for stuff for me on an online wish list?

  • So I was watching United States of Tara and I was really curious about the whole online wish list thing. So unfortunately the Amazon and google wish lists both suck. I want a wish list where I can post anything I want and people online can buy it for me without ever knowing my address or real name. I'm an artist and it would be really great if I could post my awesome art videos and digital art works and have people pay for my art supplies, food, gas and rent. Obviously its not easy to do but I'd at least like to figure out how it could be possible. Like it would be neat if there was some way for people who don't have enough to pay for whatever huge purchase I want can still pay for part of it, like it if 17,000 people all pitched in a dollar I could get the computer I really want for my work.
