How to delete Internet address box forever?

How to remove an internet address from your browser bar?

  • I asked this question a few weeks ago and no one could give me an answer, to which I was a little surprised. It seems like it should be doable for anyone who's good with computers. I can't figure out how to remove an internet address from my browser bar. By "browser bar", I mean the long, rectangular box at the top of an internet page into which you type an address (e.g. "http://www.google.com"). I'm not talking about "internet history". When I use the arrow to drop down the box, a list of older addresses entered appears. I'm unable to delete them from appearing in that box. Highlighting them and pressing delete does nothing. Right clicking doesn't even bring up a box with options. Can someone help?

  • Answer:

Hi, I use ccleaner from ccleaner.com, it is free, configurable and works very well. That clears all sorts or areas, just run it when you have finished a session, that should do it. Arnak
