How to close live mail account?

Greetings, My school has given me a live mail account. I have since graduated and do not want this email account anymore because all i get is junk school email that does not apply to me in the slightest. I have search up and down through the internet and can't find out how to close/deactivate my account. I have found tutorials on how to close it but all of those are for previous versions of live mail so none of it is relevant as of late. How do you close you live mail email account through the newest interface? Thanks in advance
