What is Wrong with my wireless internet connection?!?!?!?

• ok i'm literally going out of my mind here, my wireless internet connection must have something against me. whether or not its the internet connection or the laptop itself it's seriously pissing me off. my dads modem/router wireless whatever the **** you call it, is in a couple rooms away, and my laptop detects it i get all 5 bars full which means "Excellent Connection". im getting 54mbps which is perfect, im connected to it right now even and it still wont let me use the internet i've had to write this whole complaint down on windows notepad because i only get about 15-20 seconds of internet use before my internet tells me to get ******. i have done everything correctly, all the settings are set perfectly to what they should be and everything is fine and ******* dandy (sorry for my language im raging so hard.) last night my internet was working flawlessly i was getting downloads at 480kb/s which is fine my laptop didnt disconnect from the internet for 7 and a half straight hours. i haven't moved the laptop since and now it just decides it doesn't want me to have fun. what i dont seem to get, is the fact that i have a perfect connection to the wireless and yet i dont seem to be getting any internet. my brother and 2 sisters are in their rooms as we speak enjoying their sweet ******* internet while im here about to ditch this piece of **** out the ******* window. im sorry for my language i really am but im at my wits end and im about to start a ******* massacre so please if anybody has any form of information that might be helpful to me i'd give you my right ******* testicle. thankyou in advance and sorry again for my language (im not actually sorry because im really pissed off at this stupid technology) thanks again. also i dont know if this will help or not? but everytime i select the "Repair" option on my Wireless Internet Connection icon, it goes right through then stops at "Renewing IP Address" it then tells me that it cannot renew my IP address (yes i have restarted my computer, and the fact that it was working last night perfectly and tonight its not, is way beyond me) ok my laptop just discovered a new wireless internet connection, the only problem with that is we only have one modem/router and the closest house to us is approximately a kilometre or 2 south. wtf?

• Answer:

  You may have been affected by a windows update(if that is your os) and your settings were deleted . Try reentering your encryption key in "network connections". This can be found in the control panel.
