Internet Explorer video problems?

Problems with Internet Explorer 9? (2)?

• I just recently had a "Windows Update" installed on my laptop. I opened Internet Explorer (My default browser) and it loaded my homepage, as normal, but it took a while. After waiting for it to load completely, a message box popped up. It said "Windows Explorer has stopped working". I clicked "Close Program", and it said Windows is attempting to fix the problem". Then, the message box closed, and another one came up, saying "Windows cannot fix the problem". So I clicked "Close Program" again. It kept trying to fix the problem over and over. I found (By searching other answers) that restarting doesn't help. BUT, I did a system restore (Which requires a restart when finished), and it failed. I tried again, as the program recommended, and it failed again. I tried deleting the program from "Programs and Features", but Internet explorer didn't show up in the list of programs. I don't know what else to do. I want to uninstall Internet Explorer 9, and install Internet Explorer 8 back. (I am currently using Google Chrome). I have tried to install Internet Explorer 8, over Explorer 9. A message box pops up while I download "... cannot install because there is another (more recent) version of Internet Explorer already installed on your computer" *sigh.

  To uninstall Internet Explorer The following instructions apply to both Windows 7 and Windows Vista. Click the Start button , type Programs and Features in the search box, and then click View installed updates in the left pane. Under Uninstall an update, scroll down to the Microsoft Windows section. Right-click Windows Internet Explorer 9, click Uninstall, and then, when prompted, click Yes. Click one of the following: Restart now (to finish the process of uninstalling Internet Explorer 9, and restore the previous version of Internet Explorer). Restart later (to wait until you shut down or restart your computer).
