Do you need a paypal to buy items on eBay?

i want to buy an item on eBay and im not sure if i need a paypal or not. Pweeze help :)

Answer:
for buyer protection, Paypal is preferred (so if you don't receive the item, Paypal will get money back to you), it's free for buyer so I don't see any reason against having one. you can pay to seller Paypal account even when you don't have Paypal account, on checkout (Paypal page), simply select CreditCard instead of PayPal account and you'll be fine seller may also offer bank deposit, we just make direct deposit into the seller bank acc and then let the seller know

Other answers
Not necessarily. It's up to the seller to decide which types of payments they will accept. Check the shipping and payments section of the auction. It will tell you which methods of payment besides paypal are good.
