Polaroid internet tablet says that i cant download apps from android marketplace?

My polaroid internet tablet says that i cant download apps from android marketplace because there are no Android phones assciated with this account but i have a tablet so how do i get apps

I have the same tablet and problem. I was able to get the amazon app store which is still pretty good
