How to put a GIF banner on tumblr?

Ive tried putting it in the description box with tinypic, but it doesn't show up. Ive also tried pasting it into the custom theme url, but that puts it in the top corner, and I want it to be centered. Can you tell me either where exactly to paste it into the theme url to make it centered or how to put it in the description box?

Answer:
If you put it where you put it last time, (where it showed up in the top corner) all you have to do is put <center> before the link, and </center> after the link. There you go, it should now be centered. Make sure you use the direct link to the photo though.
