How do I block these stupid ads?

How to block ads on websites ?

  • K so I tend to check out a lot of websites daily as part of my job, and on some sites you find pics of women in bikinis and stuff and I was wondering if there was a way to block them.

  • Answer:

If it isn't a pop up, and is part of the website showing up in the side columns, the only way you could really block their content is to turn images off for your browser which would only make things worse since a lot of websites are very image heavy (a lot of the content you need to see are the image files on websites)... so unfortunately you are at the mercy of each website's lack of professionalism...

if it is a popup ads. then u can use Microsoft IE and Mozilla Firefox Step 1Open your web browser. It does not matter what website your browser displays when setting your pop-up blocker. Step 2Click the "Tools" heading from the menu at the top of the screen. Then select "Options" from the pull-down menu. These steps are the same in both Microsoft IE and Firefox. Step 3Select the "Privacy" tab in the window that opens in Microsoft IE. In version 3.5.3. of Firefox, click the "Contents" tab in the new window. In other, earlier versions, click the "Web Features" button in the new window. Step 4Block pop up ads in Microsoft IE by putting a check mark in the box next to "Block pop-ups." In Firefox, check the "Block Popup Windows" box. Third-Party Pop-Up Blockers Step 1Google and Yahoo both offer tool bars with pop-up blockers that you can add to your web browser. Following instructions from those sites, download and install the toolbar of your choice. Step 2Click the "Pop-Up Blocker" icon in the Yahoo toolbar. In the Google toolbar, select the "Option" menu and then "Accessories." Step 3Select "Enable Pop-Up Blocker" in the Yahoo toolbar and check the "Pop-up blocker" option in Google.
