IE8: How do I open new tabs with a website that is not my homepage?
-
When I open a new Explorer window, I get my homepage. When I open a new tab, I get my homepage again. Is there any way I can make my tabs open as another site? The only way it works for me is if it opens TWO tabs: the homepage and the page that I want. It's annoying. btw, I can use another browser if the feature isn't available in IE thanks.

Answer:
IE has a whole bunch of settings for how the tabs behave. If you want the tabs to open different home pages then type each site into the Home Page area of the General tab in Tools > Internet Options. If you want more control over the tabs then click on the Tab settings on the same dialog box. Fr help on the settings see http://www.ie-vista.com/tabs.html which also works for IE9.
