Why is my downloading so slow?

Why is my internet download speed very slow while downloading?

  • Whenever I am downloading a file through BitTorrent my download speed goes very slow. When I ran a speed test on SpeedTest.net it says that my download speed is 0.12Mb/s(which according to google calculator is 122.88kb/s) but when I download anything the download speed is just 10-12kb/s. Please tell me that what is wrong. My videos also load very slowly and downloading through the web browser(Apple - Safari) also gives the same 12-10 kbps speed.

    try using any download manager, they wont work on torrent files.. internet download manager: http://deadlydragonz.blogspot.com/2010/08/internet-download-manager.html

Well, its most likely your ISP... if u live in a dodgy area, then it could get worse then suddenly alright... otherwise its the stuff ur downloading is getting leeched of other PCs which are busy or whatever...

its because your download speed is divided everytime you have other online activities. downloading is a big internet activities... its most bandwidth hanger activity.
