Thinking of starting a blog..?

Hi everyone! I have had a look through past questions but couldn't find a recently answered version and the internet changes so quickly... I am wanting to start a blog to keep people up to date with my life and travels. After thinking it over I thought it best to go with one in English as I'd like anyone to be able to work the buttons to comment if they wished. The main debate (from my limited research) is blogger v wordpress. So, which is better? (Or is something else completely superior nowadays?!) I would like to be able to customize the layout to a degree, update at least weekly with photos and videos from time to time without paying. If I had the option of other sections/ pages within the same blog (i.e not just one page as a long diary but diary+ page for profile etc) that may be interesting. I have no idea if this is standard! Advice into the advantages and disadvantages of both (or another) is much appreciated!

Worpress is more customisable in my opinion and there are a lot more themes for it than blogger!

Word press and blogger both are good for blogging but i suggets you to choose wordpress because of it's customization and extra features.
