How safe is it for me to purchase from a UK website?

EBAY Will not let me purchase a leatherman multi tool?

  • I wanted to buy a leatherman multi tool on ebay USA but EBAY wouldnt allow me to purchase it because it goes against their weapon and knives policy. This is what appeared on their website when i tried to purchase one. Dear buyer, To prevent the circumvention of the eBay.co.uk and eBay.ie Weapon and Knives policy, it is not possible for you to bid on, or buy this item. Thank you for your understanding. eBay Trust & Safety Does anyone know how i can purchase one off ebay? I cant understand why they allow people to advertise these items if they wont allow me to purchase one. Im wondering does it have anything to do with the fact that im registered with ebay UK and its against their policy to buy these items whereas ebay USA dont have restrictions on these items? Has anyone come across this before and know if thre is anything I can do to be allowed to purchase one? Thanks.

    It's down to national laws. You would have to move abroad to be able to buy it - sorry.

If you live in the USA I suggest "Sear's". If anyone has the real brand it would Sear's. Or go to the Sear's website.

Try http://www.leatherman.com/. They do not sell the items directly on their site, but they do list other sites that sell them online and ship within the US. I hope you find what you are looking for!
