Why can't I Install google Earth?

I cant install Google Chrome, Direct X 9.0, or use firefox?

Ok i have a Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 that needs directx to play this certain visualazition on Winamp... i also use this pc for playin videos, makeing music/Fl Studio, dj multimedia stuff etc.....i have a Netgear router with wifi, but i tether my android phone thats using wifi to get internet, i want a new browser but when i install Google and DirectX it says it cant connect to internet to finish downloading....interner explorer 8 works fine on it tho. Also when i try to run firefox or opera, it cant connect to a server, how do i connect it to the internet...it pulls a box up to connect to broadband, when i click on a broadband connection it brings up all this connectivity info that i gott fill and/or a username and password box......i dont knoe wat to put in....i dont want an answer to download from a dif pc and put on a flash drive, i want to fix this problem....any answears?

You got some issues with your internet modem or router it seems....... or pc ethernet issue. Try reinstall drivers.
