How do i change my default?

How di I change the default text colour in Mozilla Thunderbird?

  • When I start typing an e-mail, the default is black. If I want to change the colour (I'm Australian, that's how we spell that word here) there is a "text colour" box I can bring up, and I can get the colour I want in it, and there is a "default" button, but whenI press that the setting which I have just put in the appropriate box goes blank, and I end up with boring old black as my default again. How do I set the default to another colour and have it still be there when next I open this program? On this topic, is there a good place somewhere to look for this info? I find the Mozilla help system/site very unhelpful Thanks

  • Answer:

    1. Click on Tools 2. Then Options (right at the bottom) 3. Choose Display at the top 4. Click on the box next to text color and choose your new color. (for display purposes) Then go back to step 3. and choose composition and repeat step 4 (for sending in html)
