How to find out whats eating internet connection?

  • my dad limited my connection (from 220ish to 20ish right now) and every KBPS means a lot to me ive just booted up and ill see that the connection is running at around 20KBPS DL and 2KBPS UL ill ONLY turn on auto update (AV, windows, a lot of other programs) AFTER im done surfing i cant really find anything weird on task manager so practically how do i find out whats eating and how do i stop it? if theres a program (free) out there thatll help me do that please include it in your answer

Just keeping your router on will use some data, though its usually not enough to cause an issue (approx 20kbps). Depending on your internet service provider, you can usually log into thier website and view a breakdown of your usage. Or give them a call AMD they can look on their system for you.
