How to uninstall Firefox add-on using javascript?

Firefox Taskbar Missing?

  • A few days ago my Firefox suddenly didn't work for some reason. It was operating fine before that but from then on I couldn't open it. When I double click the Firefox icon nothing happens. I tried to uninstall it but it said that I had to close the Firefox application to uninstall, which meant that it was running, but I couldn't see it. I tried Alt-Tab to find it, nothing. I checked the Firefox website using Explorer and it said that maybe my profile had corrupt data or something, so I followed its instructions and created a new profile, but it couldn't open Firefox. I think the problem is that the Firefox application on the taskbar is missing. Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.

Have you checked 'processes' in 'Task manager'? I hope you will find 'firefox.exe' running in it. If you find it just right click on it and select 'End Process Tree' and kill the process and then start your Firefox again.
