Why can't i connect to AIM?

Browsers wont connect to internet help!!?

• ok so my main comp windows xp(not this one obv) cant connect to the internet. but its only w. the browsers(IE, firefox and safari) that cant connect. AIM Steam msn etc work as they usually do. i tired the reset winsock config and int ip reset c;\resetlog.txt in run cmd. ive also tired manuelly typing in my ip subnet and so on.i used the programs winsockxpfix winsickfix and the program microsoft gives to reset the TCP/IP. sadly i dont have an earlier restore date. ive been working of fixing it for 7+ hours and im getting tired of seeing the same 3 answers on forums. all of the programs so far has either weakened the signal(yes its a wireless comp) or has screwed up my firewall. any help on fixing this would b greatly appreciated!

  If your instant messengers are working, your TCP/IP stack is fine. No need to try to repair it. If only your browsers are blocked, and you have tried multiple browsers, the most likely reason is some sort of virus/trojan/malware. I would recommend downloading Malwarebyte's and running a full scan on drive C:.
