How do you log into your router on your computer?

How can I log into my router with no internet connection?

  • Okay so I just moved into one of those apartment houses, it's a house but it has 8 different rooms and no one really talks to each other. So we have a modem set up on one side of the house that has a N router. However everyone is freaking out that if I swap it out for the N router I have that it will kill the connection, so I'm going to just connect it to the modem and use mine seperatly, more internet for me. However, I can't seem to remember the password, and I have a desktop computer, so I can't move my computer upstairs, and I can't move the modem downstairs, even for a second. So how do I log into my router without internet connection?

  • Answer:

I dont think thats possible... unless its one of those routers with a usb port.

Just connect you pc and router with a wire and open 192.168.0.1 wih your browser. and find your user name and pwd from your router manual.

Type this into your address bar: http://192.168.0.1/ Then more than likely will say to put in a user name and most cases the user name is 'admin'. Then for the password is the one you set up as when installing the router.
