Where can I find a list of popular forums?

How can I find good forums on a particular topic?

• Forums (with lots of users posting and replying on various topics) can be a good gathering place for folks with interest in a general topic (games, TV, etc). It's interesting and sometimes useful to discuss a topic on a general forum populated by many other users with interest and perhaps expertise on that topic. The problem is that it's hard to find good forums for certain general topics. In particular, I'm currently interested in a forum with an economics focus, and one with a charity focus. I've tried Google, but the results aren't very focused or useful. Is there a search engine catering especially to forums, or perhaps a list somewhere of top, reasonably active forums sorted by topic? (i.e. something that does for forums roughly what this site does for blogs: http://www.wikio.com/blogs/top) Thanks in advance.

  As far as my times with yahoo answers it has been a good time i ask i get good answers. You can stick with Y!answers. But if you are serious about a forum you can type "Forums: games" into Google if game is what you re looking for.
