Firefox Update error?

XML Parsing Error: no element found Location: chrome://mozapps/content/update/updates.… Line Number 1, Column 1: That's what I'm getting, every time it says it has update, it restarts firefox, a smaller window appears with this error, and then firefox restarts normally. What can I do to correct this? Thank you

Answer:
Download (don't run) the latest Firefox. Remove Firefox completely. Restart Windows. Install Firefox.
