HELP ME ON MY XBOX 360?

I need help connecting my xbox 360 to the internet?

  • My 360 is connected to my Laptop via an Ethernet cable and that's how it connects to xbox live. And it is able to connect to the computer just fine. So I know it has to be a problem with my modem. I got this new modem called Cisco dpc3825 and ever since I haven't been able to connect my xbox 360 to the internet. It connected fine with my old modem. My two laptops are both connecting to the internet, but whenever I try to connect my xbox 360 I receive a "IP address Error". I manually changed the MAC address on my 360 and now it can connect to the network but it won't allow it won't connect to the internet saying I have a DPS error. I tried turning the modem off and on and it didn't work. I also changed the primary and secondary DPS servers on my xbox according to my laptop and that didn't work either. Can someone tell me what I have to do for my 360 to connect to Xbox live? Do I have to go the cisco site and change a setting there so my xbox can connect to the internet? If so what settings do I change?
