How much does it cost to hire a web designer?

  • Well, I think the title speaks for itself. I want to create a website. I've already bought a domain name and a host with host gator... but I'm lost on how to create. Even the directions overwhelm me. I'd like to hire a designer/tutor. How much would that sort of thing cost me? Cost of web designing = $??? Cost of tutoring on how to use it = $??? I'm posting an ad on craigslist. Any ideas? Thanks.

    You get what you pay for. If your looking for a professional web designer that you can partner with, plan with, design a best practice website, market it and maintain it, your asking the wrong question. The question should be, what investment do I have to make to get an ROI over the next year. Not sure what business your in, but I would budget 10-15k over a year for your website and internet marketing. That is if your serious about it driving qualified traffic.

I'm don't really know what an average cost is, but I have a friend who does web design and says he makes $10/hour. We're still in high school, though, so perhaps someone who's older and more experienced would charge much more. Regardless, apparently $10/hour is a possibility.

I used a website designer for my book publishing business called. Www.divinegraceenterprises.org. . They are called BMc Enterprises. Www.Bmcenterprises.org. They are reasonable cheap and their cost of ecommerce online shop integration is very cheap.
