Why does my browser keep freezing?

• this is so annoying!!! i have tried with both internet explorer 7 (im on vista) and firefox and my browser either freezes or takes ages to load as if it is waiting for something before connecting to the internet page. i do not have viruses as i have checked, i have also reset my pc to factory, i have scanned for everything and used norton 2009, bitdefender, one care and kaspersky, also used malwarebytes, spybot even though i have reset pc to factory from the discs i originally made when bought the pc. i have disabled all add ons, reset my router, reset ie7 etc, when i select task manager it says ie7 or firefox is running and i do not get not responding. this is only started to happen this past week. i also have acronis 2009 and put my pc back to a earlier date when i know it was ok but still get it. i get exactly the same problem on my laptop and i am on virgin 20mb speed and i also do not download anything so i know i am not being throttled by virgin. i connect through ethernet on pc and wireless on laptop. i jusat don't get it thanks for your help

  Could be something to do with your hard drive. I had this last year before the thing crashed completely and it turned out that the reason was the low temperature of the room the PC was in. I you operate a PC in a room where the temperature falls below 5 degrees the hard drive can be damaged.
