How do you buy a domain name?

How much should I buy a domain name for?

  • I recently ran across a domain name, for sale, that I' m interested in buy. I contacted the seller(not the actual owner) asking if there was a rough asking price for the website. Their reply said that the domain in question was a very valuable site, and that an investment of many thousands of dollars would be required. I then checked some websites offering information about certain domains, and found the following information on this domain. Google Page Rank: 1/10 Alexa Rank: 26,666,708 One analysis site valued the site at: 25.00$ Two analysis sites valued the site at: 0.00$ I'm new to the whole domain name exchange, but I feel like I'm being ****** with here. Is the asking price of several thousand dollars a fair price for a domain that ranks so poorly?

  • Answer:

Value of a domain name depends on the keywords in the domain and the age of the domain. If the domain is new it wont be of any use, but an old domain can be very useful if it has not been used for spamming. Do the all the stats of that domain on http://findwebstats.com You will be able to check the value of the website and daily earnings of that domain here. I always use this tool before I buy a domain.
