What are 10 of computer outputs uses?

IE locks up every 5-10 minutes...why?

  • I have a brand new notebook computer (HP dv6-1030us) that I just bought on Friday. I have been experiencing this problem from day one, straight out of the box, with no downloads or tweaks to my computer or IE in any way.Every 5-10 minutes IE 7.0 will (best case) lock up and renders all windows in IE useless untill it recovers, or (or worst case) will completely shut down. This actually happened as I was typing this question and I had to start from scratch just to illistrate how often this occurs. The computer came with Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit with Service Pack 1 and these are the specs on the computer: processor brand Intel processor model Core 2 Duo processor speed 2.0 GHz hard drive capacity 320 GB memory 4 GB memory type DDR2 SDRAM maximum memory capacity 8 GB Wi-Fi capability included (Wi-Fi ready) yes included integrated drives DVD±RW/DVD-RAM/DVD+R Double Layer diagonal screen size 16 inches notebook computer weight 6.93 lb operating system Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit with Service Pack 1 screen resolution 1366 x 768 number of USB 2.0 ports 4 number of USB 1.1 ports 0 modem standard 56K V.90 audio hardware SRS Premium Sound frontside bus speed 800 MHz integrated speaker yes integrated memory card reader yes number of VGA video ports 1 video hardware Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD video memory 1759MB shared thickness 1.65 inches width 14.9 inches depth 10.15 inches Ethernet port yes number of parallel ports 0 number of PS/2 ports 0 number of S-video outputs 0 number of serial ports 0 infrared port yes computer battery type lithium-ion number of FireWire ports 0 Energy Star qualified yes warranty length 1-year limited processor Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 model name Pavilion dv6-1030us brand name HP manufacturer Hewlett-Packard network connectivity 10/100 Ethernet number of HDMI ports 1 number of eSATA/USB 2.0 ports 1 wireless connectivity 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N; Bluetooth I purposly bought this machine due to the fact that it's hardware configuration seemed stellar, sowhy am I experiencing this over and over? is it Vista, IE?

  • Answer:

I would take it back and let who you bought it from have a look. Brand new should not do this..

becasue you have a virus, duh or more specifically, spyware

no offense but IE SUCKS bad lol now for the more technical explanation. IE has been known to have many many security problems, crashing problems, problems of problems, problems for no reason. get something else like firefox opera or google chrome anything besides IE

It is clearly the fault of IE if no other programs on your computer have the same issue. IE does suck pretty bad, most geeks prefer Firefox. IE will store an amazing amount of cache and cookies each time you use it and this alone can cause the issue. Firefox can be set to automatically delete cache/cookies and other private information. Download it at the address below.

Because IE sucks monter ******** ballz. Download Mozilla Fire Fox. Much better.

Colin T- If you'd like to keep using Internet Explorer as your primary bowser, another option that might resolve your issue might be updating to Internet Explorer 8 RC1. It’s the most recent and secure version of the browser, and it could help fix (or at least help prevent in the future) the issues you’re currently facing. Here’s a link for the download: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/beta/worldwide-sites.aspx?ocid=ie8_sm_a I hope this is useful, good luck fixing your problem!
