what to do if you install a wi fi router and it changes your ip adress and you want your old ip back? will u ever be able to recover information lost on that other ip...any solution would help..

Answer:
well typical broadband connections have only temporary ip addresses, if you want a permanent one..you have to contact your isp and tell them. of course this is a bit more expensive. Also if your ip is always changing you need to update what ever was on your previous ip. I.e. my ip address would change frequently & and i had my xbox 360 stream stuff from my computer. when the ip address changed, i had to update my firewall settings to allow the new ip address of the 360 so i could continue to stream stuff. Yes..it does suck
