Why wont my internet explorer open PDF files?

  • Every time I click on a link that is suppose to open a PDF file a window comes up saying "Internet Explorer has stopped working" My adobe reader is up to date and PDF files worked before,

That sounds horrible. Maybe you should try a new browser, like Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome? I've always found them easier for downloading/locating downloaded PDF files. But I guess it's just a matter of preference...

Stop waisting time on iternet explorer!Download the free firefox browser,or even a better one,the opera browser,they are much quicker then explorer.

Try using another web browser, chrome or firefox.

Try rightclicking the link and selecting "open" instead. It works for the most part. Or you can also select "save linked file as" and it will allow you to save the PDF and access it offline. Hope this helps.

You may need the Adobe PDF Browser plug-in. If you already have that, maybe you're using the 64-bit version of IE? For some reason it doesn't work with 64-bit IE, it's a known problem. A workaround would be downloading the PDF instead of opening it directly.
