How do you make a password in an Applescript?

How do I rename my D-Link Router and make a new password?

• *NOTE* - I did look around the internet for this question before I asked it. if such a thing already exists and junk and im sorry for asking again. get over it. I bought a D-Link DIR - 615 Router a year or two ago when my brother had the same one and took it with him when he left for Florida. I installed the Router to my computer so we can have Wifi for my Laptop and my Mom's new Kindle Fire... I heard that people can Hack into your I.P Address and such through the Wifi and junk and like hack into your computer and get your info and other stuff and I didnt want that to happen... so I wanted to make a Password for my Router so people cant use it unless they knew it. my Friend was helping me out the other night well he got it to where you need a Password for it BUT, the thing is this.. I didnt know what the Password was cause I didnt know how to make one let alone how to change it if it was wrong :/ so I looked on the back of the Router and I know sometimes they make you use this like 13 Digit Number for the password and such... I entered the 13 Digit into the Password Box and it took it but for some reason when my laptop was trying to read the password and wifi it would say I was connected but wouldnt let me online and then the " ! " would pop up on my Wifi reader thing.... I asked my Brother on what I should do, and he told me to RESTART the Router so I flipped it over and held the button thing for like 10 to 30 sec's and it workded. when I look up for WiFi on my Laptop it will read as " dlink ".... now heres where my Question falls into place... 1.) HOW DO I CHANGE THE NAME ON THE ROUTER BACK TO THE NAME I HAD WHEN I INSTALLED IT? 2.) HOW DO I MAKE A PASSWORD FOR THE ROUTER SO PEOPLE CANT GET ON MY WIFI WITHOUT KNOWING THE PASSWORD? I dont want to know how to do the stuff User Name and Password on the website thing for your settings and such.. I know how to do that... so please dont tell me to go there unless I have to in order to change the name and password for my router.

  1. Turn off the router 2. Locate the Reset button on the back of the router. 3. Use a paper clip to press the Reset button and power on. 4. Hold for about 5 seconds (don’t hold too long) and then release. (Or, release when M1 and M2 flash at the same time.) 5. After you have completed the above steps, the router will be reset to the factory default settings connect router with cable to computer type in one of these 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 in your address bar thats the place you put www. . only choose one of these 2 numbers . then username admin password admin or see these for correct router http://www.default-password.info/d-link/ sign in and enjoy.
