Why is Ps3 internet not working?

Linksys WRT54GS Stopped Working Randomly. I can connect, but internet isn't working.?

  • For the past few years I have been using a Motorolla Modem with a Linksys WRT54GS router. They have been working flawlessly, until today. My router stopped working. I can connect to my wifi signal and it shows I am connected with full bars. I can also connect to my router via an ethernet cable. However, when I try to use the internet nothing loads. It says server not found. I've tried this on 3 different lap tops, an ipod, and my PS3. Nothing works. When I plug an ethernet cable from my laptop straight into my modem my internet works. So I know my internet isn't down. I can access the router settings, connect to my signal, and it shows I have full bars, but why can I not get the internet working? I've done plenty of resets... unplugging... and resetting everything to factory defaults. Nothing is able to get the internet working. Cisco won't help because I am out of warranty. I plugged in my brothers WRT120N router and everything works perfectly. But I do not like this router and would love to get the 54GS working again. Please help! Thank you.

I am also having an issue with my Linksys router this week. Same model, and I also have a Motorolla Modem. I'm still having issues but last night, I had it working wirelessly for a few hours and it quit. Anyway, here's what I did, I guess you can try and if it doesn't work, I'm sorry! Like I said, I'm having problems too. I saw someone else a few mins ago with the same Linksys model as us who ALSO is having problems. Conspiracy?! I don't know...... go to 192.168.1.1 and enter your network username and password. after loggin in, at the top in the Navigation bar part, click on Wireless in the middle of the screen there should be a green button w/a lock on it click it and wait a few minutes. really, a few minutes, maybe 5. you should be able to open your Network Sharing Center and select your network, and connect. or have you gone into your Network Sharing Center and managed your wireless settings? open your Network Sharing Center, on the left hand side (Windows 7), click Manage Wireless Settings. Remove any networks that are listed, and try the above steps again. I'm also out of warranty and they won't help unless I buy (B.S.!) sooo... hopefully troubleshooting like that will help. When I get home I have to try and get it to work again and if I figure it out, I'll come back and let you know! Hope you get it!
