What is a 421 email error?

I think I have some kind of email virus?

  • I use AOL and I keep getting this email. I got 178 today, so it's kinda annoying. The person who it is trying to send it to is an address I've never herd of and is always different. I have Kaspersky Anti-Virus. Below, I replaced my real email address with MY EMAIL ADDRESS From: Mail Delivery Subsystem Subject: Returned mail: see transcript for details Body: Your e-mail is being returned to you because there was a problem with its delivery. The address which was undeliverable is listed in the section labeled: "----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----". The reason your mail is being returned to you is listed in the section labeled: "----- Transcript of Session Follows -----". The line beginning with "<<<" describes the specific reason your e-mail could not be delivered. The next line contains a second error message which is a general translation for other e-mail servers. Please direct further questions regarding this message to your e-mail administrator. --AOL Postmaster ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors ----- <[email protected]> (reason: 550 5.1.1 Not our Customer) ----- Transcript of session follows ----- ... while talking to mx1.comcast.net.: >>> RCPT To:<[email protected]> <<< 550 5.1.1 Not our Customer 550 5.1.1 <[email protected]>... • Answer:

I use hotmail and get similar emails when I send emails to wrong email addresses. So for example; If my friend's email address was [email protected] and I typed [email protected] and tob did not exist, it would not send. And it would come back with an email from msn saying that the email was undelivered. If you have been emailing a lot to a one person, make sure you have their email address correct. Because if I for example emailed that [email protected] 178 times and got the email address wrong, then it would come back with the undelivered message 178 times. Therefore not a virus.
