What should i write about in my poem?

  • I have to write a twelve line poem for my Pre-AP English Class (I'm in 9th grade). But I have no idea what to write about. It is supposed to be a simile poem. Here's an example: As colorful as a rainbow, As beautiful as a red rose, As bright as fireworks, Is the pretty sunset on a warm night. And that's the teacher's, so I can't use that one :( And nothing gross or vulgar please.
