What should I write a poem about?

Help me find what to write a poem about?

  • I'm not much of a poet, but for French class we've been assigned to write a poem about anything. But I can't figure out what to write one about. I don't mean give me the whole poem, but at least help me get on some sort of track toward the city of poetry. Thank you so much!

    Don't worry about what to write a poem about, just write. Anything can be interpreted metaphorically and poetically. If you want you can just think up and throw a bunch of metaphors together, people will dissect it and get their own meanings out of it.

if u cant think of anything do what i do...just write about the first thing that pops into ur head...if its a crappy thought doesn't matter...from there you"ll suddenly get a bunch of subjects to write about...if ur thinking about nothing them write how nothing can consume our self being
