I need SWOT analysis of 2 cement company-birla cement and ambuja cement for my commercial application project.?

  • I study in an ICSE school and have a practical project for which I have to provide SWOT analysis of 2 cement companies . the bad thing is that its compulsory to do these to companies which I mentioned above. Unfortunately I am not getting any information of these 2 companies. in SWOT S- STRENGTH W- WEAKNESS O- OPPORTUNITY T- THREATS plz help fast I have to present the project soon. thank you.

  • Answer:

A real and valuable SWOT analysis has depth, nobody is going to be able to give you any real information here. You would usually creat a model - put a big plus sign (+) in the middle of a page and use each box as the SWOT - list strengths in one box, weaknesses in another, etc. Then, the value comes in when you are able to use Opportunities to combat weaknesses or Strengths to combat threats, or whatever combination works best depending on the company and the market. This can then be further used to develop a justifiable strategy for competing in the marketplace. A SWOT is highly situational. Research what a SWOT is and what it is used for, then research the company's, then their markets. You have a long way to go and a short time to do it. I think you may be in some trouble and shold have taken this more seriously. Do your best with the time you have left...some people work well in these tyes of situations. Best of luck
