Does anyone know any information about a catering business?

  Catering businesses are the most difficult business to run in the foodservice industry. Unlike restaurants, you don't have a customer base that you can profit from on a daily, weekly, or even monthly basis. You really have to work really hard to establish large contacts enough to cover your losses. A typical catering company has over 200 contacts that they can pull from during all times of the year. The positive side is that one event can net you over $2,000. Depending upon how you want to live, a $2,000 a month cut is decent even servicing 1 client per month is decent. Unless you operate a huge kitchen facility and can manage to host 2 events per year, don't look to get rich!
