How To Get Members To A Forum?

How can I promote my Forum to get more members?

  • Myself and a friend have created a fansite dedicated to all things Twilight. We have put alot of work into the site but for some reason we just cant get people to join :( I really do think that the site has potential to be the ultimate 'hang out' for Twilight fans, I just dont know how to get them to look at the site. So far, we have done the following: Posted questions on YA! asking what people think of the site. Most people liked the site and said that they would join but none of them have joined yet. Advertised on Twitter. Created signatures advertising the site which are displayed on the other Twilight sites that we are members of. Posted an advertisement on gumtree.com. Does anybody have any other ideas that could help us attract members and get the site up and running. We have 8 members at the moment but there is no sign of anyone else joining at the moment, which is a shame because I really do think that the site would be good for all Twilight fans :) The link to the site is... www.bitten.profurms.org Any help would be appreciated :) Thank You :)

Do some promotions in Social media sites like facebook, linkindin, twitter etc... and do some Identity protection fro your sites and get some Do follow profile links from that page. I will be helpful for search engine to crawl your site.. Then create some Social blogs and write some details and benefits about your site and post in the blogs. Why would someone want to join a site about twitter rather than just twitter alone? thats like a myspace fan site, but myspace is used to talk....so why have another site to talk, when in fact you do that on myspace.... O.o BUT, if you want more traffic, you have to learn how to market well. Look up on the internet ways to market online...marketing. ?make a youtube video about it. make it interesting and talk about the features. Think of an mlm company. Once you get one person to join ask them if they can tell 5 other people about it and those 5 tell another 5 and it will keep growing.
