Website business?

Web Designers, I need advice on a business website...?

  • I'm a studio art student and I have a intern position with a (plastic factory) company editing and designing things for one of their projects websites. Recently they asked me if I could created a website for them. I just took a Media Arts class and did a little work with Weebly.com so I said I could do so. I haven't started any work on the website but I've become quite nervous that maybe I should have told them to hire a web designer for the job instead. They're not a big company and I thought Weebly would be a good choice so they could manage the website themselves after I get all their content on there but I've recently heard that using websites for website building in a terrible idea. What do you guys think? Any advice? I know my way around a computer and I made a website with dreamweaver and Weebly but now I'm questioning whether there's steps I might need to take with a business website that I don't know about. Is there anything like this you can think of? I had someone ask me what companies they would have to pay to get their website on "search lists". I've never heard of anything like this, is this something I have to worry about? Any advice, tips or help would be great. I think I have a good eye when it comes to layout and composition and I'm usually pretty confident about my art but since this is an area I just recently began in I'm completely doubting myself and have began to worry about it.

Best is to use Ultimate Web Builder. It is very dynamic and flexible and very easy to use. You can create your own design with it. It has a built-in SEO tool to build traffic to your website and a lot more features, including a photos app for creating slideshows/photo galleries and e-commerce/shopping cart. You can get your domain name and web hosting there too. No experience necessary. It comes with free tech support too.

Never use weebly or similar platforms to build a website for a company. They need their own domain and hosting, install there wordpress CMS and build there the website...or try here: http://wordpress-secrets.com/ They will build it for you...
