What are some Australian companies a US student should apply to for an internship?

I'm a marketing/public relations graduate student in the US who is greatly interested in interning for a semester in Australia. Typically, our practicum internships do not go through the typical internship "programs" that I find online. Instead, I'd like to apply directly to a company/business. Any help regarding what type of companies may be interested in a US master's student would be beneficial. I'm interested in event planning and the arts, but am willing to work at any good company that can provide me this intercultural work experience.

I cant help with any names however you should be aware that the "intern thing" is not done in Australia so the companies that you contact will have no idea of what you are talking about.
